Xanvi is an extra-dimensional being, Oneirois-class reality manipulator, and the founder of the Dream Eaters.

Appearance

Xanvi wears a set of simple black robes made of woven cloth, long-sleeved and draped over his shoulders with a hood obscuring his face to only show a pair of eyes, blue and yellow, set in a pale face with deep, sunken eyes of cracked, reddish skin. Underneath the robes, Xanvi wears a kimono of silk along with a belt and sash with a metal "buckle" that locks together. The top of the kimono is held together with a red, metallic clasp.

Xanvi's boots are also black, similar to combat boots with leather padding along the front to keep the laces in place. His hands are also covered by simple gloves.

When disguised as John Fontaine, Xanvi dresses himself in black coats and turtlenecks, along with a prosthetic eye. At the time of Primo Victoria, he dressed in an Alchemilia uniform.

Personality

Xanvi, eternally devoted to his studies and his cause, possesses a great disconnect with reality, at least compared to the way that others perceive the world around them. He treats life as though it were a game, a sort of competition with strict rules. Xanvi enjoys seeing people's unique reactions to certain events, such as fear or discomfort.

Xanvi, however, can be considered a sociopath. He does not consider other sapient beings to be on the same level as him, mentally, and does not consider their emotions or the consequences of his own actions; The destruction of a majority of Midgarde's population, something that he inadvertently caused, was only considered a setback to his own goals.

Background

Xanvi presumably resided on the third moon of Midgarde, a shifting, inhospitable wasteland of dunes and deserts at some point. At an unknown time, Xanvi began recruiting individuals from both within and beyond Midgarde to serve him, as well as constructing a temple as headquarters for his apprentices and eventually, his lesser followers. It is unknown how many apprentices Xanvi has had throughout his life.

At one point, with seven apprentices from across worlds, Xanvi soon caught the attention of the Power known as Iblis. As penance for Xanvi's sins and as an attempt to stop him from gaining further power, Iblis decimated the population of Midgarde, killing one of Xanvi's apprentices while the others fled to Euclid.

Abilities

• Levitation - One of Xanvi's more mundane abilities, he is able to defy gravity to a degree where he can hover up to four feet off the ground.
• Dream Manipulation - Xanvi is able to traverse dreams and control them, giving himself an incredible degree of reality warping power within them.
• Illusion Generation - Xanvi has the ability to create incredibly vivid illusions, able to mimic every sensation including touch. He uses this ability to "shapeshift," without truly changing his form.
• Telekinesis - Xanvi can move relatively small objects with his mind, though nothing that he wouldn't be able to pick up himself.
• Energy Draining - Xanvi gains sustenance from draining plants and animals of their energy through touch.
