The following is the hub for all user-right requests related pages on The Demon's Light Wiki. In order to submit an application for a position, you will need to do three steps.

  1. Create a page in this format: Requests/The position you seek/Your username. Meaning, that if my username is and I wish to submit an application for Bureaucrat, I would create a page called Requests/Bureaucrat/. On this page, please state why you deserve the position.
  2. Link this page in the Requests subpage that contains all the applications for your desired position. In the example above, I would link my application in Requests/Bureaucrat.
  3. Once completed, a vote will be created in Discussions and linked on the request page, then the community will vote on for one week.

REFERENCE SHEET FOR POSITIONS

Requests for Permissions (Rollback, Discord Moderator, Discussions Moderator, Content Moderator, Assistant, Administrator, and Bureaucrat)

  • Requests for Rollback: Applicants need to have been on the Wiki for a minimum of three weeks, in addition to having at least fifty mainspace edits.
  • Requests for Discord Moderator: Applicants need to have been on the Wiki and Discord server for a minimum of one month; edit counts are not needed in this case. Applicants need to be active in the server, demonstrate consistent following and understanding of the rules, and have a clean record of no bans or kicks for a minimum of two months.
  • Requests for Content Moderator: Applicants need to have been on the Wiki for a minimum of one month, in addition to having at least one hundred fifty mainspace edits.
  • Requests for Discussions Moderator: Applicants need to have been on the Wiki for a minimum of forty-five days; edit counts are not needed in this case. Applicants need to be active in Discussions, demonstrate consistent following and understanding of the rules, and have a clean ban record for a minimum of two months.
  • Requests for Assistant (Discord + content + discussions moderator): Applicants must already have either the Discord moderator, content moderator, or discussions moderator user right. They must also have been on the Wiki for a minimum of three months, and have at least three hundred edits.
  • Requests for Administrator: Applicants must already have the assistant user right. They must also have been on the wiki for a minimum of five months, and have a minimum of five hundred edits and a clean record of no bans/blocks for at least three months.
  • Requests for Bureaucrat: Applicants must already have the administrator user right. They must also have been on the wiki for a minimum of ten months, have a minimum of eight hundred fifty edits, and have a clean record of no bans for at least four months.

Voting

Voting is done by all users who meet the voting requirements and wish to participate, excluding the applicant. Voting ends after one week, and the user is promoted if there is 67% or higher support in favor.
