Gladea is a forested town in Thales. It is located due west of Silivia and home to Marshall Rooke, Savannah Whitesmith, and the Wellington family.

Background

Gladea is a rural town found west of the bustling city of Silivia. The town is rather large in area, though sparsely populated.

There is no central government in the town and crime, like theft, is rampant and laws go mostly unenforced. While mostly unorganized, Gladea is often thought of as under the extended purview of Alchemilia Corporation, and even some paramilitary organizations like the Ackerman Militia.

Most living in Gladea are lower class or poor, and usually live there because Silivia is more expensive to live in. Common occupations include farmers and mill workers. Some middle-to-upper class individuals reside in the town, most often being employees of Alchemilia Gladea, the largest of the few industrial centers in the town.

Gladea finds itself situated in a nutrient-rich wetland. Much of the town is forested or swampland, with swathes of land having been cleared for farming. There are a few mills that dot the farmlands of Gladea, some for grinding grain and others for cutting wood. Gladea has many lakes and rivers and is home to a diverse assortment of wildlife.

Notable structures

• Alchemilia Corporation has a series of building known as Alchemilia Gladea. Some biological research, robotic engineering, and weapon testing occurs there, though usually on a smaller scale than Remnant Rock. One of the main draws of Alchemilia Gladea is its vehicle production and storage, highlighted by the large garage on the premises.
• There is an old barn previously owned by Andrew Wellington. It is where Savannah Whitesmith discovered Atticus Anoethite, Chris Wellington, and Melissa Devlin. It has been abandoned for centuries. The building is rundown and overgrown grass populates the property.
• Marshall Rooke lives in a small shack-like house on the outskirts of Gladea.
• Shen Li runs a small badger farm at his residence in Gladea. He raises badgers which are sheered to create soft furs for clothing.
• The Wellington family lives in a modest homestead not far from Alchemilia Corporation.
