The Chang Monastery is a centuries-old monastery situated on the highest mountain in Aiola. It was originally built by the Chang family and is now once again their property, currently owned by Robert Chang and his wife Marisol. It plays a major role in Season Two.
The Chang Monastery is octagonal in shape, with black shingles lining its red and white walls. It is nestled into a plateau on Silas' mountain and has two large ornate gates decorated in gold symbols. There is also a stone platform leading to it.
The Chang Monastery was built hundreds of years ago by a member of the Chang family on the highest mountain in Aiola. It has passed from owner to owner ever since. According to legend, it is in the same location as the home of a boy named Silas who planted a peppercorn vine. It has been used consistently by the Nirvanists ever since its construction.
- A dining hall is located at the front entrance of the monastery. It is where many monks and occasionally guests consume their food daily.
- A map room is located in the back of the monastery, and is named because of the giant map on its wall.
