The following are animals in the world of Euclid.

Animals[]

Birfi[]

The birfi is a unique bear species that originates from Eden. Their fur is most commonly red or black, and they are found in dense packs in Muné within and around the Blackwell Forest. They feed on blue apples. The bear is a part of most local villages' cuisine. Often, community leaders will wear a birfi pelt, as well as bestowing one upon guests. Native Munese call the species the lord's bear.

Catulus[]

Catuli are large, patterned felines with a saber-tooth. They were brought to Euclid from Eden, and inhabit the forests of Muné.

Chicaro[]

Chicaro are chicken-like creatures with similar physical form to a horse that has only two legs and a pair of wings useful for gliding short distances. They are yellow, brown, red, or white and are used for both food and transportation. They are native to Thales and Muné and are aggressive when not domesticated.

Chicaros appear in "The Less I Know the Better" and "Centuries of Damnation" and are mentioned in "Catching Smoke" and "Safe Haven."

Dragons[]

Dragons are large serpentine reptiles found in Eden and Nuyo. They are intelligent enough to speak and incredibly long-lived, taking roughly six hundred years to reach maturity. One member of Cicero's bodyguard is a young dragon named Powehi. Trace amounts of metal can be found in their scales, the colors of which can indicate the breed's behavior or diet.

Dragons appear in "The Master" and "Loyalty".

Durabla[]

Durabla are tiny purple beetle-like insects found in the rain forests of Muné. They cannot die but they rarely reproduce. They are known to be foragers and eat native flora.

Gladean badgers[]

Badgers are mammals with small heads, stocky bodies, and short tails. A badger will eat nearly anything it can find, and is normally aggressive when provoked. The Gladean badger was specifically bred for its soft fur and docility. Shen Li, the father of Wen Li, is a known badger farmer.

Gladean badgers are mentioned in "Fishing, the Old Gladean Art" and "Primo Victoria."

Gray Munese parrots[]

Gray Munese parrots are a type of domesticated bird. They have light gray bodies, yellow eyes, and red tailfeathers. They have a limited vocabulary and often will "dance" when excited. Wen Li owns a gray parrot named Gulliver.

Gulliver appears in "In Somnis Veritas" and "Primo Victoria." Other gray parrots appear in "Safe Haven."

Hairy sock mufflers[]

Hairy sock mufflers are hairy, two-foot-long, cylindrical slugs capable of making muffled wailing sounds. They are found in the rainforests of Muné.

Hogs[]

Hogs roam wild in large numbers in Muné, preying on wildlife and locals. They grow to an average height of seven feet, and often weigh over five-hundred pounds.

Leviathans[]

Leviathans are large deep-sea creatures that live in the oceans of Euclid. However, they do not live in the sea between Aiola and Thales as it is too shallow.

Magmons[]

Magmons are a variant of hippopotamuses. They are large herbivorous animals, capable of swimming in lava and magma. They are found in the rivers and volcanos of Muné.

Sand crocodiles[]

Sand crocodiles are large reptiles located in the deserts of Thales. They look similar in appearance to their water-located brethren, but with a brownish color to their scales. They often lurk under sand dunes and catch their prey by jumping attacks.

Sheshes[]

Sheshes are a large race of birds with green bodies, yellow plumage, and red heads. They live in jungles and are notable for their very expressive faces and wings. Typically, they feed on the seeds of cacao tees. They are also commonly consumed on holidays as a delicacy.

Taboos[]

Taboos are a large rabbit species commonly found in Muné and Aiola. In Muné, they usually eat the rare Eden-originating flora.

Uendigos[]

Uendigos are a race of white apes that are indigenous to Nuyo. They are omnivorous and have a strong sense of community.

Vanthes[]

Vanthes are giant sloths found in Hala. Though slow moving creatures, they are hardy.

Woppers[]

Woppers are large bovine creatures with long, shaggy hair and short horns employed throughout Euclid, typically in mountainous terrain. They are pack animals and are used to carry heavy loads over distances.

In the series, the Changs send Chris and Marshall to buy supplies, giving them each a wopper to ride up and down Silas' Mountain. When confronted by the Global Union, the two quickly abandon the animals.

Woppers appear in "House of the Rising Sun."
